Ashley Beech takes first T3 win at Silverstone
AB Racing / T3 Racing Triumph's Ashley Beech, took his first victory of the season in the Triumph Triple Challenge series at the AirAsia British Grand Prix on Saturday at Silverstone, after edging out Luke Jones by just 0.013s at the finish line. Beech said: "It was just lack of experience as I've not lead a race since 2007. It is easy to chase people down and to follow but hard to set the pace. On the last corner I went a bit deeper to try and get better drive and out drag him to the line and luckily it worked!"
Victory again for Beech at Snetterton
The Snetterton 300 crowd were treated to three Triumph Triple Challenge races due to the cancelation of race two at Silverstone, thanks to horrendous weather conditions. Off the line it was Jones who got the hole-shot but was tailed by Beech who gradually reeled him in from a 0.612secs lead to just 0.062secs on the penultimate lap. Beech tried to pass Jones early in the final lap but Jones held him off right to the final corner. Jones unfortunately made a mistake selecting the wrong gear this allowed Beech to out drag him to the line once again. Beech won by 0.027secs .
